Punch and Judy Playgroup

Pre-School at Lympne Village Hall

A key person approach is used in our playgroup. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he has special responsibilities.

Staff will assess how their children are learning and developing by observing them frequently. They will use information gained from observations, as well as from photographs of your child, to document their progress and where this may be leading them. As a parent you may be asked to contribute to assessment, sharing information about what your child likes to do at home and how you are supporting development.

  • We hold regular parent meetings to discuss the progress of your child, and help you will any questions or queries.
  • Our children are happy and contented, and quick to settle.
  • We offer sessional childcare for children age 2 years to 4 years old, during term time.
  • We provide a wide range of challenging and stimulating play experiences and offer a free flow play indoor/outdoor play culture that promotes children’s overall development.
  • Our aim is to support each child to become confident, individual learners.
  • We adopt the Early Years Foundation Scheme (EYFS) which provides the learning and development for young children.
